My Fledgling Blog
When I think of my blog as a little fledgling puffin, in need of me to feed it content, then I feel that responsibility start to weigh on me. The thing is I love to write. Typing is one of the most calming things I can do in my life. I love to just sit here and type these words. It is so amazingly something I love. The thing is I also love spending time with my kids, perfecting Excel sheets, budgeting (ok—love might be too strong a word there), and my time does not lend itself to writing. In each season of life I have to fight for the alone time and the quiet to type or keep a journal.
The amount of sleep I get also has a huge effect on whether or not I have the mental capacity to write something worth posting. The internet does not need exhausted Annie mumbling about whatever crosses my mind at those times.
However, the fact remains that this blog helps me as much as it provides a connection between me and those people who read and follow and subscribe. I need to write, to process, to share with others who are struggling with similar things or experiencing joys and life that we are not alone, even in times of sleeplessness. We can share the journey
New Year’s Resolutions Start Here
In my months of being absent from the blogging community, I have felt it as a loss. And with November being my month to make New Year Resolutions, I decided to start with this one. My first resolution of the year is that I will be doing a 21 Day Writing Challenge.
I will be starting December 15th! Being in America is sure to bring its share of culture shock and challenges and scheduling difficulties, and I need to find alone time in all that craziness, and what better way to keep myself accountable than to do a challenge during my time in America!
We get to America December 12th, so I will give myself a brief time to adjust, but then I am starting! Would you like to Join me?
Join our 21 Day Writing Challenge Community!
If you have been wanting to start a blog, or you still have a Christmas Letter to write to friends and family, or you just want to get better at reflecting on your life for prayer or journaling purposes, this is the challenge for you! Please join me in this FREE 21 Day Writing Challenge!
I will be completing a blog post each and every day of the 21 day challenge as well as sharing about the process! I hope this will help some of you as well as myself see the reasons my blog posts stay in my notebook sometimes and other pitfalls that keep me from even starting. We will be seeking Discipline and Community! If you Join you will be emailed each of the FREE 21 Prompts straight to your inbox each day of the challenge beginning December 15th, and taking us through Christmas and New Year’s to January 4th.
